We had promised ourselves a relaxing September break somewhere warm and
intended to go somewhere different. However we wanted to fly from East Midlands Airport at a reasonable hour of the day which excluded most destinations so we ended up
booking our old favourite place, Lanzarote, but, for a change we opted for
Playa Blanca and the adults only Hipotel Natura Palace.
As the flight was mid-afternoon we had a relaxed drive to the airport. Check-in
was a breeze, the airport was relatively quiet and we were soon on our
way. We booked the holiday through TUI and their app kept us well
informed even telling us when we landed which bus we had to get.
The 40-minute transfer passed quickly and we found ourselves in the very
spacious reception area drinking cava before being escorted to our room by a porter who helped us with our bags. We had
missed dinner but were offered a lovely salad with cold meats and
cheeses.
